This was a fabulous home away from home. Everything is well thought out and everything was lovely and clean. The hot tub was a luxury each evening after busy days ! It would have been nice to have some wood etc to start the log burner when the weather was cold. The house is well placed for some lovely days out. Red Kites at feeding time is a must ! Nearby Aberaeron is gorgeous. New Quay and it’s bottle nosed dolphins was awesome. The Gelato shop is to die for ! Downsides were that the road is a little noisy at times . We had no WiFi during our stay. The decking around the hot tub is very worn and in need of t.l.c. All said though an absolutely great house and we would not hesitate to return in the future.

Overall, it was great. Bit disappointed in the lack of basics there, like salt for example! No cafetière either. The village of Llanon is very interesting when you leave the main road that runs through it. We arrived at the local pub just as a fight was breaking out but we stayed for decent food served by very friendly people. Good visits to both Aberaeron and Aberystwyth and enjoyed the hot tub!

Really enjoyed our stay even though the weather wasn’t great. The village is a little small and lacked restaurants and places to get food. But not a problem to drive to aberaeron or just a bit further to Aberystwyth. But Ty Fynnon itself was lovely and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay even when the weather is bad outside it still felt nice and cosy.

Only let down by the lack of a few tea bags/milk/cake which is usually the norm in such places and was praised by others in the guest book. Booking was last minute so I guess that was the reason.

I stayed from the 15th to 22nd September, and had a great time. I was staying with my 2 older children ,(19 and 22), their partners, and my dog. I knew the weather wasn't going to be great, but I was prepared and it didn't affect the stay. Andrea was fiendly and inviting when we arrived, communication was brilliant before arriving, to collect the keys, and during our stay. The cottage was very well equiped, nice decor and very clean, also the hot tub was nice to relax after a day walking and sight seeing. The cottage also has off street parking for up to 2 cars. I will be visiting again, but may try one of the owners other properties. The local pub, The White Swan was very nice. Friendly staff and locals, good food and beer, I took a liking to the Dragon Heart. I would definately recommend a sunday lunch there, and I would book before hand. The pub welcomes dogs, and also have a dog treat tin for them to have a treat while you have a pint. They also have a pool table, TV's if you want to watch sport, and an outside play area for the kids. You can also pay with old fashoined cash, or card. Just along the road is a Premiere Stores local shop. The closest supermarket is in Aberystwyth. Out of the village towards Aberystwyth is another pub, The Black Lion, although we never tried this one. Near to the Black Lion is a Post Office. This is the closest place to get cash, although its over the counter and not a cash point. I found a few local walks down to the beach, around the village and along to the church, as well as further afield. We went into Aberearon, around the harbour, and along the waterways the otherside of the high street. We went on the Rheidol Steam Railway train from Aberystwyth to Devils bridge, into Devils bridge down the 100 steps and back along up to the main road, and then a walk around the area. That was well worth the money. We also had a walk along the Tresaith to Aberporth coastal walk, then into New Quay for lunch. We also visited Bwlch Nant yr Arian and watched the Red Kites being fed which was really worth seeing, around 150 Red Kites swooping right in front of you. You can also walk on the signposted walkways and get some amazing views.

Had a fantastic week. Cottage was very comfortable has everything you need. It’s in a great location with wonderful beaches & countryside. The hot tub was excellent cleaned/checked every day. Ty Ffynnon is in a lovely very friendly little village with a local pub/restaurant (excellent food), newsagents, chip shop & butchers what more do you need.

I think need to make it clearer on pictures that house was not located near/ by river as last pictures infer. It's actually located in quite an unfriendly village some miles away on a roadside. Local pub and shops most unfriendly with shouting and swearing. I should have been more thorough in my research before booking but disappointed at location. Least favourite location have ever had.
