A welcoming and lovely place to stay. The beaches were a drive away, but well worth visiting!

The family were very welcoming but we were disappointed in the area surrounding the cottage as it was a bit shabby! The garden was not quite adequate and no outside bin for nappies, poo bags etc.,! Their dogs ( there were many )weren't all too friendly with our dogs! And coming into our enclosed area!

We had a lovely stay at Ty Hen, Brenda and her family made us very welcome. Ty Hen is on a working farm and quite isolated , we had a lovely time. The 2 double beds had very firm mattresses, the stairs are steep , but manageable. The downstairs bathroom room was large and had a walk in shower. Ty Hen was clean, tidy and very quiet. There is a small garden area to the front, we took our 2 king Charles cavaliers, one was unnerved by the farm dogs and cows, the other did not appear to be bothered.

Local amenities not really applicable as we knew this was a remote spot - it was perfect for a cosy family break with dogs.... welcoming wine, milk, flowers and biscuits were wonderful and the log fire, cosy lounge and electric blankets were perfect after exploring the many nearby beaches x

On arrival poo left outside on parking lot. On entering the home looks completely different to the website photos, very unkept and tired looking, looked like the cottage was done on a tight budget. In the kitchen, no cleaner. I had to empty the bins, clean the oven, clean every plate, spoon, cups, glasses knife and folk before we felt we could use the cottage, this was night one. We struggled as best we could and due to being a young family put a brave face on for our children and managed four nights out of seven. The final straw was getting bit in bed and we upped and lefted. We feel completely let down by this cottage and the services we didn't receive.

This is a 3 bedroom cottage on a working farm. The owner made us very welcome with a freshly made pot of tea, a welcome pack and the wood burner was alight making the cottage very homely. We were able to park our car directly outside the enclosed garden of the cottage. We drove down to Aberdaron each day which was only 1.5 miles away. We had 2 dogs and the cottage was perfect for them, and the long beach was ok as the dogs can go onto the beach from Oct.

I enjoyed my stay at Ty Hen and was made to feel very welcome. Quiet peaceful location on busy working farm. Beautiful views across the fields and small enclosed garden. Coal fire much appreciated in the cool evenings. Very rural location which is what I definitely was looking for.
