Warren Farmhouse dates back to 1780 and is the perfect peaceful retreat. It has been refurbished as a family home retaining many original features and providing very comfortable accommodation. Log fires beamed ceilings and a well equipped farmhouse kitchen with an aga add to the charm and character. Remotely located just outside the village of Kildale with superb views over the hills and valley. The surrounding fields and heather moorland are home to an abundance of wildlife including lapwing curlew and red grouse. Ideal for walking bird watching active holidays with family friends or to celebrate a special occasion. The moors footpaths and cycle tracks are on your doorstep and Kildale’s small train station is on the glorious Esk Valley line to the ancient seaport of Whitby passing through Goathland Heartbeat’s village you can even enjoy the leisurely journey by steam. Visit the Georgian market town of Stokesley where the partly cobbled streets are lined with inns tea rooms and a mix of shops. Explore the heritage coast and sandy beaches of Yorkshire with seaside towns such as Saltburn Whitby and Scarborough within easy reach and fishing villages including Staithes Runswick Bay and Robin Hood’s Bay. Historic homes abbeys and castles abound in this area with Newby Hall and Gardens Castle Howard the castle ruins in Helmsley and Rievaulx Abbey in the vicinity. Shop pub and restaurant 4.5 miles.     Fantastic location, very comfortable, cosy cottage. Excellent for walking and cycling. Plenty of outdoor activities and plenty of space to sit and enjoy amazing views all around.

    Lovely place I would definitely recommend if you wanted to go for a family trip. Not much to do other than walking unless your prepared to drive 10 miles or so. We would definitely go again as the countryside is amazing and the owner and staff are lovely

    Great house for a family get together or group of friends. Very well equipped, loads of space inside and out, wonderful remote feeling to the place but easy to visit other places, lovely views and a warm and welcoming atmosphere encouraging relaxation and contentment. Highly recommended.
