A contemporary apartment nestled in the heart of Grasmere, historically once part of a wool mill. This split level property is set over the first and second floor and features floor to ceiling glazed windows on the gable end, offering stunning views towards the lake and surrounding fells. Situated in a quiet location in the heart of Grasmere you can leave your car in the private parking space and easily explore the delights of this popular village on foot.
Lovingly renovated, the high spec interior and contemporary décor greets you as soon as you walk in the door. The open plan living space offers high levels of comfort and provides a social setting for couples and families to enjoy, with plenty of plush furnishings and seating. The modern kitchen area provides everything you need to create a feast after a day of adventure, with views out to Silver How. Upstairs you’ll find two comfortable bedrooms, the first of which is the master bedroom featuring a kingsize bed, beams and floor to ceiling glazing with fabulous views. The second has twin beds, suitable for children or adults.
Nestled in the very heart of the Lakes, Grasmere is a lovely place for a romantic break. With stunning scenic views and many walks accessible from your doorstep, you’ll be tempted to take on famous Lake District walks like Silver How, Lang How and Helm Crag. Rising very close to the property is the impressive ’Fairfield Horseshoe’. Grasmere is famed for its connections with the poet William Wordsworth, who lived in the village at Dove Cottage, now owned by the National Trust and open to the public as part of the Wordsworth Museum. Artists will enjoy several water colour galleries in the village, particularly the ‘Heaton Cooper Studio’, which displays the Cooper family’s famous work as well as that of inspired local artists. Of course no trip to Grasmere would be complete without a visit to the famous Grasmere Gingerbread shop just 350 yards away.
The village centre has all the amenities you could need during your stay, from local shops and supermarkets to quaint tea rooms and acclaimed restaurants. For touring by car or exploring the Lakes, the A591 leads you south past Rydal Water to Ambleside on the northern shore of Lake Windermere, or north to Keswick and Derwent Water. Beach 24 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
