The apartment is located on the Yewfield Estate which sits up on Hawkshead Hill giving great views of the surrounding countryside, there are a number of walks throughout the 80-acre estate taking in woods and wildflower meadows leading to the charming village of Hawkshead or picnic by the water at Tarn Hows. Although the estate is in a rural location it still offers easy access to the popular Lake District attractions with Lake Coniston and Windermere both within 3 miles drive, also on the doorstep are superb walking and cycling routes.
If you are more interested in less energetic pursuits, there is a good choice of museums such as the Motor Museum or Hill Top, and even plan a visit to Beatrix Potter’s house. For the foodies amongst you, there are five Michelin starred restaurants within an hour’s drive or maybe you’d like a day at the races at Cartmel. Perhaps you like mental challenges with a choice of escape rooms or take a ride on a segway at Grizedale Forest. There is so much to do you’ll be sure to visit again time and time again. If you are travelling with friends or family, there’s additional accommodation available on-site as the estate also has a guest house and a superb vegetarian restaurant. Beach 21 miles.
