A lovely cottage. Very spacious, comfortable and clean. Wonderful for our dogs, who enjoyed the lovely big garden. The views were great. All in all it was a very relaxing week. Wells is around 10 miles away and a beautiful city. The cathedral was very special (they even allowed dogs inside). We were told that the gardens in the Bishops Palace were wonderful, but we didn't have time to see them. So a trip back is a must. Our weather was awful (named storm!) but we still managed to go in the private hot tub twice. We met the young owner (Alex), who was extremely friendly and anxious to find out if everything was OK. Putting in the hot tubs was a wonderful touch and he is planning more improvements. Would definitely recommend.

Can’t recommend this place enough. Was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Out all day and so lovely to be able to come back and use the hot tub. Will definitely be returning!! Xx

The cottage was great bigger than I thought it would be with lovely high ceilings with a lovely outlook over the fields. The rooms were lovely and big and well furnished and the bed was very comfy. The cottage was lovely and clean (apart from a few cobwebs on the ceilings but they were very high so maybe a longer duster is needed lol and the oven door could do with a clean but nothing that some cif and elbow grease wouldn’t shift). The extra touches of tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits and even some milk in the fridge were really nice but the most special part was the fab hot tub it was looovely so warm we didn’t want to get out. A bit isolated with regards to places to eat but there is a helpful book with some recommendations in the cottage and Just Eat do deliver just make sure you give them the correct postcode. All in all a lovely place to stay and would definitely recommend.

We spent a lovely week just after Christmas and spent New Year at the cottage. The owner was very welcoming calling us just before arrival to confirm arrangements with the key, everything was explained in a welcome booklet and their were extra special treats for the dogs which was lovely. The location is quite remote but lovely to be next to a working stables and see all the local wildlife, close enough for days out at Mendip Hills and a trip into Bath. We would highly recommend this cottage. I imagine that the large garden in the summer aswell as the hottub on the new decking makes for a very nice summer break as well as a fab winter getaway.

Wow what a place to stay, excellent views and peaceful. Alex made it one to remember, with all small gift gestures for our dogs for Christmas was fantastic and showing us around so we knew how things worked. Alex made us so welcome and would definitely visit again. A definitely a 10 out of 10. Simply perfect in every way.

The stables is a perfect place for a little get away - the place was clean, the hot tub was great, and the location was lovely! Alex welcomed us in, and we were given a handy information pack that recommended some lovely local pubs. A wonderful place to visit!

Was such a lovely area and peaceful. The lodge was very well equipped and Alex was very helpful and welcoming. Very spacious lodge and lovely hot tub. Would definitely go again

Alex and his father were wonderful hosts. On arrival we were welcomed by Alex and the facilities were explained, we met his father during our stay too. There was a welcome gift for our dog Peanut, which was a lovely touch, and a tray of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits provided on our arrival. The cottage suited all our needs. The garden was private and full enclosed for our dog, we did not have to worry about her escaping. The hot tub was situated on the deck and could be used in total privacy. The kitchen was fully equipped and met all our needs. The beds were comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful stay. The stables are ideally located and situated within a 20- 30 MINUTE drive of many local attractions.

Great base for a short break, Bath, Cheddar and Wells within easy reach. The property has recently been refurbished and is a very pleasant place to be. The owner was very approachable and focused on ensuring our stay was good for all of us. The garden is fully enclosed so safe to let our dogs have a run-around. The hot tub was a welcome place to relax in.

Lovely cottage with great outdoor space for the dogs.

The cottage is very clean and comfortable. The deck outside is large and new with a fabulous hot tub and there is a large private grassed area where kids can let off steam to their heart's content. We would definitely go again.
