Beautiful location for a very well-equipped cottage; clean, warm and comfortable. Very friendly owner who had supplied lots of lovely extras - fruit, flowers. biscuits etc. It is a drive to anywhere for amenities but for us that was to be expected and wasn't a problem at all. In fact driving through the locasl scenery only added to the holiday experience. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

Good, but NOT FOR ASTHMA sufferers or others with lung problems... This is a charming old stone cottage, with plenty of character and a number of original features, in a pretty spot overlooking Loch Creran. The surroundings are peaceful and attractive, and the owner lives next door. The kitchen is well equipped, and the furnishings are reasonably comfortable for a holiday cottage. Everything was clean and in good order, and there were real plants, fresh flowers and a bowl of fruit - all very welcoming. There is a patio area and large private garden which would be very pleasant in the warmer months. The cottage is also good value, compared with some other overpriced accommodation in the same area. However, I cannot give it top marks because of one significant problem - the central heating and hot water are provided by an oil-fired boiler, sited in an enclosed utility room off the kitchen, which filled the house and especially the kitchen with fumes, and in my case provoked an asthma attack. The fumes were only too evident, even to my husband, who does not have lung problems. So if you do have any lung problems, avoid this property. Otherwise it is charming, though not suitable for people with mobility issues as both bedrooms are upstairs and the old staircase is steep and has rather sloping steps.

Far away from everything, but that was what we were looking for : PURE NATURE, wonderful environment/landscape and very quiet. Nice terrace and garden. It was the only cottage where the kitchen equipment (glasses, cutlery, pans) was clean. Efficient heating system but the only slight negative point was the smell of the oil in the kitchen as the oil boiler was in the utility room next to the kitchen.

Fabulous, quiet, photogenic location. The house was warm and comfortable with lovely views. Nice outdoor seating area. Easy access to local shops (Port Appin and Benderloch)
