very good cottage
Excellent in every way apart from distance to amenities. It just means you have to remember everything when you shop.
Had a lovely relaxing weekend at Haddocks Nook. The weather was fantastic, which helped, but the location was perfect for us - peace and quiet, surrounded by bird song. Alan and the team are very helpful and around only when you need them. One of the most comfortable beds We've ever slept in. Very sorry to leave.
Lovely cottage, great setting, nice and peaceful, lots of birds and animals and fishing as well. National Trust property's and Castle Howard are all close and well worth a visit. York park and ride is only 15/20 minutes away. The local pub / restaurant is just down the road with excellent food and local beers.
Absolutely loved the cottage as it’s in a very secluded and quiet location and that’s what we like . The cottage is very modern and is spotlessly clean - it has everything you need for a wonderful, relaxing holiday . We will definitely return
We had a really relaxing time. Loved it.
Another great holiday here.
Superb accomodation, to a very high standard. The owners were most helpful.

Lovely place for a relaxation break. You are totally isolated as the accommodation is 1 mile up the farm track from the farm house. Very clean and comfy, although we did have an issue with flies which the owners tried to resolve for us. The welcome package is more than we expected, there was bread, milk, plenty of tea coffee and sugar so no need to buy them, 4 small boxes of cereal, there was a dishwasher with tablets supplied, washing machine with laundry products supplied, Washing up liquid and clothes, well equipped kitchen, vey comfy beds and pillows so good nights sleep were had. There was also outdoor toys for older children.
A very nice cottage/barn conversion. It is ideally located for peace and quiet with excellent views over the surrounding countryside. The wild life viewed from the cottage was lovely, red kites, pheasant's, partridge, squirrels and rabbits.
The cottage is placed conveniently between York and Harrogate with some lovely national trust properties in the locality.
The cottage was warm and cosy and had all the facilities to make a excellent holiday.
A lovely modern cottage which I would have no hesitation stopping at again in the future if visiting this area.
a most pleasant comfortable week spent in a marvellous position. We could not have wished for anything more Our second visit.
You know when you book cottages and you look at the pictures and hope that the place you finally choose is half as good as it looks on line , we’ll i can tell you that haddicks nook is better in reality it’s just gorgeous and very clean , it has a modern layout with a gloss red kitchen that is stuffed to the gills with every implement you could possibly need including a washer dryer ! Although if you put some washing on the line it’ll be dry before you hang the last item . The bathrooms are lovely fully tiled with beams in the family bathroom ( which is very spacious) . Both bedrooms are a good size with plenty of room both have solid wood wardrobes and dressing tables which are in great condition . The carpets are soft and clean in the bedrooms and the beds are comfortable with spotlessly clean linens. Outside all you can see is fields ,trees , hedges ,lots and lots of ducks and pheasants . I can honestly say it’s the best cottage we’ve ever stayed in, just gorgeous and we didn’t want to leave todayMore
