On a small private estate the house backs onto a lovely riverside walk along the banks of the Spey and is furnished and equipped to a good standard. Peaceful and quiet yet within walking distance of Aberlour’s interesting shops and eateries the house makes a wonderful base to relax and enjoy the area’s many attractions. Accessed by a gate from the rear garden the Speyside Way as it is known meanders through the village through Strathspey down to Tomintoul taking in many well known distilleries on the Whisky Trail - ideal for walkers and cyclists alike. There is a large choice of golf courses within an hour’s drive and fishing can be arranged on the river with day permits available locally. The excellent beaches of the Moray Firth are just 20 miles away notably Lossiemouth and Nairn and the historic town of Elgin with its cathedral and Cashmere Centre is worth a visit.     A nice house and a great space, but a few things let it down. The games room was grubby and there was no Xbox as listed. Dishwasher out of action when we got there although we got it working. And we couldn't work the DVD player despite there being a huge collection of DVDs. But location really great, house well stocked (apart from potato masher!) and comfortable, and a good time had by all.

    Haugh House has a great Location at the at the Spey River in Aberlour. The house itself is very big and comfortable, ideal for big families or dog owners. There are also great shops, like the Spey Larder, and good pubs/restaurants in walking distance. We recommend the Mash Tun in Aberlour and the Copper DOG in Craigelachie.

    Location was lovely but accommodation really needed a good clean - no welcome pack but there's a co-op about a minute's walk from the property so managed to get milk and bread easily.

    Fantastic location with direct access to the river, walks, the Mash Tun bar/restaurant, and shops - visit the Speyside larder - really excellent. Spacious and warm. Would recommend

    Would recommend this house. Great location, Aberlour has good shops and facilities, the surrounding countryside is stunning.
