No children. \n This cosy annex attached to the owner’s home with a private sitting-out area is set in an idyllic position for visiting the many attractions close by.\nOnly 4 miles away is the beautiful and rugged sand dunes of Druridge Bay and Cresswell with its golden beach nature reserve country park and an impressive coastline. From here you can try the number one coastal cycle route and see why the area is so popular with walkers and cyclists. A short drive brings you to Newbiggin-by-the-Sea 6 miles away where the only east coast offshore sculptures can be seen. There is also a Maritime Centre sandy beach and lifeboat house.\nAmble only 7 miles away is reputedly the friendliest port which lies further up the coast and boasts a thriving Sunday market and some lovely eateries. An easy drive takes you onto the Heritage Coastal Route peppered with friendly villages and castles including the spectacular Bamburgh Castle.\nVisit Alnwick 17 miles away home to Alnwick Castle which is famous for being the filming location of ’Hogwarts’ in the popular Harry Potter films. The town has a fine selection of pubs eateries and cobbled streets for guests to wander through and enjoy.\nTravelling west to Rothbury with Cragside House and Gardens is only a short 15-mile drive.     This is a well equipped, comfortable annex and ideal to take your dog, with enclosed garden and many pet extras. Location is a pet owners paradise, with beaches ,country parks and abundance of walks very close by. Would definitely use again.

    This was an excellent base for exploring the Northumberland countryside and coast. Because I was staying on my own with my dog, I appreciated the fact that Mary was at hand, but not at all intrusive, should there have been a problem. The accommodation is beautiful and very quiet, so I slept very well indeed. Having travelled quite a distance, l was delighted to discover so many beaches and country parks within a 10 minute drive, so we could relax and potter. Had the weather been a tad warmer we would have enjoyed sitting out on the patio. Mary will do anything to help you make the most of your holiday. I very much look forward to a return visit as this holiday was so refreshing!

    Fantastic accommodation, clean, comfortable and provided everything we needed. Mary was on hand to welcome us and would have been available if we had needed anything but we did not so did not see her until we were preparing to leave.

    We spent a weekend with our Border Collie, she was quite happy to stay in the living room/kitchen. The upstairs was surprisingly roomy and the bed was comfortable, the bathroom spacious with modern furniture. Loved sitting outside in the garden chairs when we arrived. Only a short straight drive to the extensive beach near Cresswell and a little Café serving good meals and snacks, free parking for the beach just passed the Café. It is safer to reverse up to the Annexe as the road is quite busy at times. However we had a lovely break and would be keen to go for a longer stay in the future. Thanks to Mary the owner.

    nice little cottage and friendly owner . when we arrived there was coffee ,tea ,sugar and a packet of biscuits all ready for our use.the facilitys were very good. the only thing that spoiled our holiday was the weather, but at least we had two days of sunshine.

    Beautiful cottage. Small but perfectly created to accommodate for all your holiday needs. Loved the outside area. Had great weather so was nice to sit in the garden. Upstairs was comfortable and practical. Bathroom was stunning. Unfortunately had to leave early due to our four legged friend being unwell but would love to visit again in the near future. Owner (Mary) was lovely too. Helpful and friendly.

    The annexe is clean and comfortable. We have stayed on two occasions and found it fully.met our needs. It is in a good location to explore the Northumberland coastline and within easy reach of Newcastle and Morpeth.
