When the weather is fine, stroll down to the water’s edge with your deck chair or beach towel and indulge in a good book, as this property is situated just 600 yards away from the beach. If the weather is less clement, a good brisk stroll along the unspoilt promenade towards the pretty beach huts is just breathtaking. The cottage itself is well thought out and provides flexible accommodation for everybody and a delightful garden to enjoy an alfresco breakfast or evening barbecue.
Worthing is a delightful and traditional seaside town where you can hire bikes, stroll along the pier and try the excellent ice-cream, go fishing or take in a show at the theatre which sits at the pier entrance. It was also once home to Oscar Wilde, Jane Austen and Harold Pinter. Artists have long been attracted to Worthing, so come along and visit the artist studios and take home an original souvenir of your memorable holiday.
Why not spend the afternoon at the oldest working cinema in the UK, The Dome? Enjoy a film and relish the time with your loved one. Bowling, an indoor leisure centre and a lovely walk along the promenade to watch the kite surfers, will keep you busy. Goodwood, 19 miles, is host to the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, Qatar Goodwood Festival in August and the Goodwood Revival in September. For those seeking the open green spaces, head toward the magnificent South Downs National Park. There are also good train connections to London Victoria, Eastbourne and Brighton. A 700 bus takes you along the coast road into Brighton centre. Beach is 600 yards. Shop 150 yards, pub and restaurant 250 yards.
