Oak View is a modern, one storey, oak beamed barn nestled to the side of a woodland area, with expansive views over the mid-Wales countryside. With an open plan design, it has high quality furnishings, including a free standing, copper bathtub in the bedroom, modern amenities with well-equipped kitchen and private bathroom. The large bedroom features a wall of glass to the front elevation, allowing you to relax in bed or bathe whilst enjoying the breath-taking, secluded views. However, for convenience it is also equipped with remote control blinds. Within the living area there are triple bi-fold doors, floor to ceiling glass panels and a duel opening stable-type front door so that you can completely enjoy the scenery from inside, or easily access the garden and patio with the feature of a private hot tub. Oak Vew is a modern barn built using traditional materials so that it harmonises with its natural surroundings. Keeping with the green ethos, the owners use biomass fuel, solar and wind power to further limit the impact to the environment. Accommodation is entirely on ground floor level. Well behaved dogs are welcome at the property.
There are a host of local, historic, market towns to be explored nearby, including Newtown, Welshpool and Montgomery. Newtown, sitting on the banks of the River Severn is the closest at just 2 miles away and offers a good selection of pubs, restaurants, shopping, arts galleries and a theatre. Powys Castle, a National Trust property near Welshpool, soars dramatically above its glorious gardens and is within easy reach, as are remains of Montgomery and Dolforwyn Castle. Walkers love mid-Wales for the number and diversity of its footpaths. You can walk the well known routes of the Severn Way, Offa’s Dyke, Kerry Ridgeway, Glyndwr Way or to the Source of the Severn or chose from numerous lesser know public footpaths.. The Elan Valley, the Red Kite Feeding Centre and Glansevern Hall are nearby, plus many more activities such as mountain biking, clay pigeon shooting, zip-lining, kayaking, fishing or even rally driving at Carno.
