Pond View is a delightful, two-storey, one bedroom holiday home in a small village just outside the town of Heathfield in East Sussex. Located off a quiet rural street with private parking and a gated entrance. This uniquely secluded rural retreat is the perfect place to escape urban life and city bustle. Fallow deer, squirrels, rabbits, foxes, and an array of birdlife can be spotted. Lovingly designed by the owners who live next door, Pond View is positioned perfectly with a private veranda overlooking a large fishpond and backs onto ancient woodlands. Please do not fish in the owners own pond, as there are fishing available nearby. On the first floor is a fantastic large balcony - the perfect spot for enjoying a glass of wine on a summer’s evening, whilst listening to the birds tweeting nearby. There are two further ponds that guests can walk around and enjoy. On the ground floor is an open plan living space, with a beautiful, modern fully fitted kitchen. Upstairs is the bedroom with a kingsize bed, Smart TV and beautiful countryside views. There is also a large balcony with outdoor seating and more beautiful views.
Heathfield is a small market town with a big view. Standing on a ridge, it is surrounded by beautiful, rolling Sussex countryside and has magnificent vistas to the south from the High Street. A good selection of shops, cafés, tearoom, bakery, and fish and chip shops. Sixteen miles from the coastal town of Eastbourne and 17 miles from the historic spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent. Close by there is a good choice of pubs. For those who enjoy cycling, why not bring your bikes and cycle the Cuckoo Trail, which is 14 miles of surfaced pathway meandering through the Sussex countryside to Eastbourne Park? Keen walkers, pack those walking boots and try out the 1066 walk, a low-level route through the countryside that witnessed the Norman Conquest. Starting at passing Herstmonceux Castle, the historic 1066 Battle Abbey, and Battlefield, medieval Winchelsea, ending in historic Rye.
