    The Coach house is a wonderful place to escape to, away from everything but close enough to sea side and shops in Felixstowe when needed. The cottage is an excellent find , comfortable, peaceful and relaxing! But best of all was the welcome and support we received from the family, it was just like going to stay with friends for a week! The venue is perfect for families with dogs. We have happy memories of walks through the lime trees in the garden to the footpaths to the river Deben. Would we go again?.....of course!

    This cottage has extremely steep stairs. Although the area is dog friendly the property is not. On arrival the first thing you are met with is that dogs are not allowed upstairs. You’d need to be Sherpa Tensing to get them up there. It’s like going up a loft ladder. If like us your dogs are not used to being away from you at night you’ll need to do what we did and camp out downstairs using a settee each as a bed. Not ideal for us or anyone elderly. Also the blurb says you have access to grounds. Only if it’s on a lead! Not what we anticipated at all. The court yard is full of moss and debris so you are constantly cleaning up anything the dogs bring in on their paws. The owners are friendly though. My fault I’ll do more research next time.
