East you’ll find beaches, the lovely Black Isle and the resident pod of dolphins in the Moray Firth, as well Culloden Battlefield. South are the magnificent Cairngorm Mountains with ski stations and hiking trails. And to the west mysterious Loch Ness is just beyond the city limits and it marks the beginning of a Highland and island journey to the likes of Skye.
