These delightful, individual barn conversions, situated in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, have been sympathetically renovated and restored to a high standard whilst retaining many of the original features. The properties nestle in large, private, undulating grounds to provide a very peaceful location within open landscapes. The west courtyard provides level access to Granary Lodge (ref UKC1124) and Hen House (ref UKC1123), and the hot tub and barbecue area are situated in the east courtyard which is suitable for wheelchairs.
There are many excellent walks and cycle routes in the area, and some straight from your door, including a short walk to the village shops, pub and other facilities.
Nestled on the edge of the village of Binbrook, the location provides an excellent base for exploring the area. Market Rasen is just 7 miles away with its world famous racecourse, excellent range of restaurants, pubs, shops and market. Horncastle, renowned for its antique shops, is only a short drive, as is the unspoilt Georgian town of Louth with three market days a week. A visit to the sandy beaches at Mablethorpe or Skegness are good days out, as is a trip to Grimsby and Cleethorpes (another sandy beach, an award-winning pier and a wonderful promenade), plus many good restaurants and leisure facilities. Don’t miss a day out to Lincoln Cathedral and the Bailgate area and castle, used in the filming of the ‘Da Vinci Code’, as well as the Magna Carta Visitor Centre. Hull, 2017 City of Culture, can be accessed over the Humber Bridge.
Activities nearby include horse riding, coarse and fly fishing, outdoor bowls (May-Sep) and golf (7 courses within easy reach, special rates can be negotiated). Beach 12 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.
Binbrook House Mews (ref UKC1121), May’s Mews (ref UKC1122), Hen House (ref UKC1123), Granary Lodge (ref UKC1124) and Chestnuts Farm Mews (ref UKC1125) can be booked together to accommodate up to 19 guests.
