Inspiration for your holiday in Kent

Enjoy a family holiday in Margate

If you have kids, a visit to Dreamland will ensure your holiday in Margate is full of fun activities. The oldest running amusement park in the UK, Thanet local council secured funding in 2013 to ensure the much-loved park could stay open and used the money to restore it to its former glory. With dodgems, a mirror maze and even a roller disco, Dreamland retains all the traditional fun of a seaside arcade with modern facilities. One of the park’s most famous rides is the scenic railway; the wooden rollercoaster, that gives views out onto the North Sea, is a Margate landmark. In keeping with its update, the park also now puts on regular music events and is fast on its way to becoming a staple of the music scene in the area. Our Kent holiday parks have space for the whole family, whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or making the most of the school holidays.

Discover nature and wildlife in Smarden

Not your average wildlife park, the Wildlife Heritage Foundation in Smarden is dedicated to the conservation and promotion of big cat breeding. Set in the beautiful Kent countryside, over 50 big cats live in the park including snow leopards, African lions and pumas. Visitors can get up close and personal with the cats and even feed them by hand, safe in the knowledge their entry fees are contributing to the future conservation of the species. If you’re a photographer, then what better subjects to test your skills on than these beautiful creatures? Get a masterclass with one of the park’s in-house photography teams, with one-on-one or group options available. Whether you’re a professional or an amateur, you’re sure to take home some unforgettable images. Continue your scenic stay in one of our cosy lodges or holiday parks, where you can kick back and enjoy the stunning natural beauty of Kent.

Admire the magnificent White Cliffs of Dover

You can’t visit Kent without a trip to the iconic White Cliffs of Dover. These chalk cliffs make the perfect setting for a walk with fantastic views across the English Channel. With multiple routes available, why not stop for a guided tour of the South Foreland Lighthouse? If you’re feeling adventurous, you can delve deep into the cliffs themselves on a tour of the intricate tunnels of Fan Bay Deep Shelter, a relic from WWII. This is a perfect destination that has it all: action, relaxation, culture and, of course, history. After a day spent exploring, head home to relax in the comfort of one of our hot tub lodges or luxury holiday parks. For something different, why not try glamping in Southern England?
